The strength of the industrial and e-commerce market has been reflected in the huge increase in sales value in the areas covered by South Sydney Cityscope
Sales recorded in the most recent edition totalled $648.1 million, compared to the previous one at $83.2 million. It brings the twelve-month total value of sales to $2.365 billion, up over a billion dollars from the previous year.
Included in this largess is 49 O'Riordan Street, Alexandria, a bulky goods centre of over 22,000 sqm with parking for 770 cars. Known as the Homemaker Centre Alexandria, it was bought for circa $200 million.
Also included is the Botany Grove Business Park at 12-20 Baker Street, Banksmeadow, which sold for over $164.4 million. It comprises two, integrated, high-clearance, brick warehouses with mezzanine office space and parking; a complex of five, high-clearance warehouses with mezzanine offices; a restaurant; a two-storey office building to Baker Street; and high clearance factory and warehouse buildings to the rear.
Nearby, also in Banksmeadow, a vacant 22,910 sqm block of land, sold as a development site for over $55 million.
