Commercial Market Update - Melbourne Units Cityscope November 2021

Sales recorded for Melbourne Units Cityscope for the three months to November 2021 totalled $475.5 million from 711 sales, an increase compared to the $321.3 million from 487 sales recorded for the quarter to August 2021, and the $500.9 million from 758 sales recorded for the quarter to May 2021.

The latest data brings the twelve-month sales total close to $1.815 billion, an increase from the previous twelve months, which recorded sales of close to $1.198 billion.

The table below shows sales recorded for the past eight updates of Melbourne Units Cityscope.

Some notable sales featured in the November 2021 update of Melbourne Units Cityscope include:

  • Unit 3901 in Collins Arch at 433-455 Collins Street, Melbourne, a mixed-use development with a twin-tower, comprising 49,000 sqm of office space, 202 apartments and a 5-star hotel with 294 rooms known as the W Hotel. Unit 3901 is a penthouse apartment with a south facing terrace on level 39 in the West Tower plus a car space on basement level 4 plus storage areas on basement level 4 and level 34, which was bought for $7.5 million;
  • Unit 3511 in the same building Collins Arch, a south facing residential apartment with a terrace on level 35 in the West Tower plus a car space on basement level 4 plus storage areas on basement level 4 and level 34, which was bought for $5.6 million and
  • Unit 6401 in 380 Melbourne at 380 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, a 52-storey South Tower to Lonsdale Street and a 68-storey North Tower to Little Lonsdale Street, providing a total of 728 apartments and 312 suite hotel rooms, completed mid 2021. Unit 6401 is a wrapped-around apartment with aspects of north east, north west and south west on level 64 in North Tower, which was bought for $5.117 million.
