The latest research from Sydney Units Cityscope shows that apartment sales in Sydney’s CBD have increased in total sales value in the last quarter. The last three months to July 2021 recorded 590 sales for a total of $912.1 million, an increase from the103 sales for a total of $182.6 million recorded in the quarter to April 2021 and from the 115 sales for a total of $163.8 million recorded in the quarter to January 2021.
The 12 months leading up to July 2021 recorded 907 sales for a total of $1.404 billion, an increase from the 961 sales for a total of $1.305 billion, for the same time period the year before.

Notable sales this quarter include:
- Stratum lot 2 at ANZ Tower, 161-167 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, a 1,674 sqm penthouse with 701 sqm on level 43, 493 sqm on level 44 and 480 sqm on the roof level plus 440 sqm parking on basement level 2 and 32.5 sqm space on the upper ground level, which was bought for $60 million through LJ Hooker Double Bay and Christie's International;
- The leasehold interest expiring May 30th, 2090 in Lot 1 at 88 Cumberland Street, Sydney, comprising 260 sqm including courtyard on level 6 plus a 14 sqm car space on level 1, was bought for $6.55 million through Savills and
- Lot 464 in Greenland Centre Sydney at 115-123 Bathurst Street, Sydney, known as Unit 79.02, a north and east facing 169 sqm apartment including 2 covered balconies on level 79 with a 26 sqm car space for 2 cars on basement level 2, which was bought for $5.85 million.
